What is Naturism?

Naturism vs Nudism

Is Naturism Sexual?

  1. 1.
the practice of wearing no clothes in a vacation camp or for other leisure activities; nudism.

Honestly, there is little difference between the two terms. Some people are more adamant about the difference. In english nudism and naturism are not different. But in other languages and countries it makes a distinction between nude activities, and someone who believes in the philosophy of naturism.

At a nudist/naturist event if you do something sexual, and or harass someone, you will be kicked out.

Unfortunately at beaches, there are not officials there. In fact there are rarely even lifeguards. So they are often not regulated the same way.

Most people who use the term naturist, rather than nudist, are people who have a more holistic view of traditional nudism.

The INF (International Naturist Federation) defines it as:

Naturism is a lifestyle in harmony with nature, expressed through personal and social nudity, and characterized by self-respect of people with different opinions and of the environment.

Do I need to be a naturist?

No, not necessarily. You can simply enjoy non-sexual nude recreation. No need for labels.

But, I don't have a good body

Who does?

That's the thing about most nudists/naturists. They are very accepting of all body types. No one really cares how you look.

Once you get used to it you stop looking at others bodies and even your own so critically.

Aren't all naturists old people?

I can't deny that many, if not most, naturists are older (50+).

That's the reason for this specific group. Young Buffalo Naturists.

There are a few reasons many naturists are older. Firstly, older people seem to stop caring so much about how they look, or are perceived. And most older people have a lot more disposable income, so they can be at beaches, and resorts much, much more than younger people.

What about my privacy?

Most people who are nudist/naturists worry about this.

Most people see naturists as "weirdos" "perverts" or something like that.

If you've read this far you'll know that's not true.

I will always keep anyone's email, and identity completely private.

Male problems/ Female problems

Most men are concerned about erections. However most men never actually encounter this problem in a social naturist situation. There is however an etiquette if you do get one. The general consensus is to discreetly hide it. They are natural, but you don't want to make anyone uncomfortable.

Women often ask, what if I have my period? It's perfectly acceptable to wear bottoms, there's a silent understanding about it.
